Gotha Research Centre starts the winter semester 2021 with a hybrid event programme

The Gotha Research Centre at the University of Erfurt is starting its autumn and winter programme. At last, face-to-face events can take place on site again, aligned with 3G rules. At the same time, there will be digital transmissions or opportunities for participation.

To kick off on 4 November, Adrian Masters (Tübingen) will give a lecture at the Research Centre on "Were the 1500s Spanish Indies 'Radical'? Reflections on the Writing and Reading of Global History Today".  The lecture will begin at 5.15 pm. For the access link to the online events, please register by email at: forschungszentrum.gotha@uni-erfurt.de.

The programme also includes a workshop on military history in Gotha and a workshop on Illuminati research. The city of Gotha is also organising a book presentation on the work of the Gotha-born political scientist Tilo Schabert in the lecture hall of the Research Centre.

In the winter semester, the new staff members and scholarship holders at the Gotha Research Centre will present their projects in the Intellectual History research seminar led by the director Prof. Dr. Martin Mulsow.

The programmes are available for download.

Update (18.11.2021)

Due to the current worsening pandemic situation, all events in the winter programme will take place in online formats until the end of 2021. We ask for your understanding.
