The Jena Declaration on cultural and regional dimensions of sustainability is presented at the UN COY conference

The UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY) is an event organised under the auspices of YOUNGO - the official youth institution of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The conference takes place just before the annual UN Climate Change Conference, also known as the Conference of the Parties (COP) and like the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow. COY serves as a space for capacity building, networking and policy training to prepare young people for their participation in the COP.

In this context, the Jena Declaration, which was largely prepared by Professor Benno Werlen, Fellow at the Max-Weber-Kolleg of the University of Erfurt, will be presented in a round table discussion and a cooperation with the Global Youth Engagement Network (GYEN) will be initiated. The Jena Declaration on the importance of the cultural and regional dimensions of global sustainability can also be found here.

The presentation of the Jena Declaration with international experts will take place on 30 October 2021 at 16:00. Young people worldwide will be able to follow this event, as the conference will also take place in hybrid format. Interested parties can find more information here.
