How cities and religions have shaped each other through history: Jörg Rüpke’s new book will be published in October
On 6 October, ‘Cities of Gods: A Global History of Religion and the City from the Ancient World to the Modern’ will be published by Princeton University Press, in which Jörg Rüpke summarises the research findings of the ‘Religion and Urbanity’ research group, which has been based at the Max-Weber-Kolleg since 2018.
