Fingers crossed for the "Prix Jeunesse International"

The co-production by KiKA and Hessischer Rundfunk "Triff Anne Frank" has been nominated for this year's "Prix Jeunesse International". The competition, which takes place in Munich from 24 to 29 May 2024, honours high-quality television productions from all over the world. Professor Jörg Rüpke from the Max-Weber-Kolleg at the University of Erfurt is involved in the "Triff..." series as an academic advisor.

In "Meet Anne Frank" , time-travelling reporter Clarissa Corrêa da Silva experiences Anne Frank receiving her diary as a gift and follows her disappearance, life in hiding and the rescue of the diary after her deportation. She gets to know Anne Frank as a passionate observer and writer and at the same time as a teenager with rough edges. Reports from Amsterdam, an interview with Anne's friend Jacqueline van Maarsen and knowledge clips complement the play scenes.

Last year, "Meet Anne Frank" was one of four German productions in the running for the "International Emmys" and was honoured with the "Goldener Spatz". More than 400 children's programmes have now been submitted for the "Prix Jeunesse International" 2024.
