Enrolment for the voice training courses in the 2026/27 winter term

Places on the speech training courses are allocated via the new course allocation system (MOSES by MathPlan), which the University of Erfurt is currently trialling with selected courses. 

You can log in here (https://kurve.uni-erfurt.de) using your usual login details (Shibboleth) and specify your course preferences from 1 October 2026 to 4 October 2026. After that, course places will be allocated by 6 October 2026 at the latest, taking into account all priorities submitted – i.e. fairly and regardless of when you submitted your preferences – and the results will be published directly in MOSES. 

Should there still be any remaining places, you will have another opportunity to specify your preferences from the date of publication until 8 October 2026. The results of the second allocation will be published by 11 October 2026 at the latest. 

Why is speech training offered at all?

The vocal and speech training at the University of Erfurt is fundamental with regard to later work in the pedagogical speech profession. These appointments require a continuous and intensive daily speaking performance.

The following questions may arise:

  • In which situations do I use my voice and how?

  • How do I keep my voice healthy?

  • How do I train my voice so that I can teach for 30 to 40 years?

  • Am I suitable for the teaching profession in terms of my voice and speech?

Am I vocally suitable for a pedagogical speaking profession?

Speech training serves to teach the basics of voice and speech. Existing voice, speech and language disorders cannot be treated during the course. For this purpose, there is cooperation with medical specialists, speech therapists, clinical speech scientists or academic speech therapists, so that therapy can be followed up if necessary.

In order to determine suitability for a pedagogical speech profession, the subject area Speech and Language Education recommends a phoniatric expert report before starting the programme.
