About the research project

During his stay at the IPB, Robert Böhm will focus on the role of individual decisions and social dynamics in the context of global challenges such as antimicrobial resistance, infectious diseases and climate change. The focus is on questions of how people react to complex risks and corresponding political measures and how their behaviour in turn influences political processes.

With its interdisciplinary approach and innovative methods, the project contributes to the development of effective communication strategies and behavioural interventions. It thus strengthens central research objectives of the Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour: the promotion of social transformations and the improvement of political acceptance in times of planetary crises.
