Blog: "Transformation of Property"

The blog of the Collaborative Research Centre (SFB) “Transformation of Property” provides an interdisciplinary public platform for the exchange of ideas on property relations in contemporary and past societies. It presents a wide range of views, commentaries, interpretations and opinions on all property-related topics from the perspectives of history, law, economics, politics, sociology and anthropology. Furthermore, alternative property regimes and institutions, including indigenous or decolonial perspectives, are presented and discussed. The blog is aimed at both the academic community and the interested non-academic public, and welcomes broad participation from the academic community and the wider public in the SFB’s research on property.

Publications

Here you will find new publications, the “Strukturwandel des Eigentums” series, monographs and anthologies, essays and working papers from the SFB on Structural Change in Ownership.

New Library of Property (NBE)

The New Library of Property (NBE) is aimed at the academic community and the general public (including NGOs, the media and interested members of the public) and fulfils two main functions: it provides a searchable database containing primary and secondary sources as well as the publications of the SFB, and makes the SFB’s research findings publicly available. An interdisciplinary, cross-historical bibliography and introductory specialist commentaries by SFB members facilitate access to key issues in property research and, in particular, contextualise classic texts. In addition, thematic dossiers featuring contributions from the SFB as well as academic, civil society and media sources are published. The ‘Quarterly Sources’ section provides insights into the projects and the diversity of their research.

"China's Property System in Transition: Tradition, Transformation, and the Realignment of Global Power Dynamics"

A new dossier has been published as part of the series on cross-cutting research topics within the SFB! It was compiled by Laura Boemke. The dossier brings together relevant media coverage and a wide range of publications from the SFB, with a focus on easily accessible formats such as blog posts, newspaper articles, interviews and podcasts.
