Prerequisites

Early-stage researchers at the University of Erfurt can apply for admission to the graduate school via the Erfurt Doctoral and Postdoctoral Programme (EPPP); admission is possible on the 1st of each month. The prerequisite is that the supervising professor is also a member of the programme.

List of members of the graduate school "History of Knowledge"

For full membership of the graduate school "History of Knowledge", candidates must be accepted as a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Erfurt and submit a certificate of enrolment as a doctoral student. In addition, the candidate must be a member of the University of Erfurt. The application for acceptance is made centrally via the online platform Docata.

Admission to the graduate centre is usually as a full member. Full membership requires continuous participation in the mandatory colloquium as well as the timely completion of all coursework required by the study programme. If continuous participation in the colloquium is not guaranteed for important reasons, partial membership can also be agreed in exceptional cases. Membership as a full member of the graduate centre is possible for three to a maximum of four years. If the doctorate has not been completed by the end of the fourth year, regular membership automatically changes to associate membership.
