Information from the organisers

How can we succeed in breaking away from dependence on large digital corporations? What political and technical measures are necessary for this, and what examples of best practice already exist? And what exactly does Thuringia have to do with this global issue?

Thuringia's State Secretary for Digital Affairs and Infrastructure and State CIO & CDO, Milen Starke, will address precisely these key questions at this event.

The supremacy of big tech giants poses immense challenges for the state, economy and society in terms of data protection and digital self-determination. Thuringia is one of the first federal states to set a clear signal in this regard: The state is seriously addressing the issue of digital sovereignty, is actively seeking solutions and is already putting them into practice.
