Emmet is a simple construction worker who unscrupulously follows all the rules of President Lord Business. By chance, he discovers a magical resistance particle. Wyldstyle believes him to be the prophesied saviour and master builder Special. His previous life is thrown out of joint as he is supposed to be the chosen one to protect their world from an evil tyrant.
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller deliver an imaginative animated adventure that amuses with humour and over-the-top action. In addition to an educational message about healthy individualism, the filmmakers incorporate witty criticism of consumer society.
