Dr. Panagiotis J. Stamatis is Full Professor of Communication Education/Pedagogy and former Departmental Head of the Department of Preschool Education Sciences and Educational Design, Faculty of Education, University of the Aegean (Greece). After he completed the basic studies, he was initially employed in public primary education as an elementary school teacher. Later, developing his studies and increasing his qualifications, he was appointed as elementary school headmaster, regional education administrator and elementary school teachers’ counselor. In parallel, he was employed as External Collaborator/Lecturer at the UotA since 2004, gathering great teaching, administrative, leading and academic experience for many years. Currently he continuous his research and teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at University of the Aegean and other Greek Universities.
He holds three Bachelors in (Preschool and Elementary) Education, a Post Graduate Diploma of Education (PGDA) and a PhD in Communication Pedagogy focused on preschoolers’ Nonverbal Communication during teaching and classroom environment.
Research Interests (Forschung)
Research’ interests of Professor P. J. Stamatis are mainly focused on Educational Communication issues related mainly to the ages of Preschool and Early Elementary School Education children regarding the school and family environment interactions and communicative behavior including verbal, nonverbal and bullying behavior.

Research and teaching of Professor P. J. Stamatis are mainly focused on communication issues related to school and family environment.
