Welcome to the Chair of Applied Microeconomics

We are all members of the junior research group for empirical research in economics and behavioural sciences (CEREB). The aim of CEREB is to bring together researchers in the fields of economics and behavioural sciences and to promote academic discourse and the research achievements of the participating researchers. Key themes include the theoretical modelling of human decision-making behaviour and the design of social institutions. Sub-groups within CEREB are involved in the University of Erfurt’s educational focus and examine educational and career choices as long-term self-directed processes. They complement decision-making research with a life-course perspective and investigate the conditions and consequences of self-directed choices regarding contexts for learning, action and development.
