Information from the organisers

Global inequality is no coincidence, but has grown historically and is still structurally anchored today. The lecture "The Divide" uses current data and historical developments to shed light on why the Global South is systematically disadvantaged despite its wealth of resources. From colonialism and debt structures to climate change and world trade rules, key causes of global disparities are categorised in an understandable way. A critical look at power relations, economic dependencies and current counter-movements.
