Welcome!
At CEREB, we bring together scientific theory and empirical methods to tackle important questions about human behavior and social outcomes. Our work spans behavioral economics, econometrics, psychology, individual and group decision-making, and the economics of education. We value interdisciplinary thinking and maintain active collaborations with international research institutions.
Our research focuses on how people make decisions and how decision-making can be better understood, measured, and supported. We study decision processes across the full spectrum: from classical rationality through bounded rationality and fast-and-frugal heuristics to social and context-dependent criteria of good choices. This includes both individual and managerial decision-making, examining how organizational structures and processes shape the way decisions are made in institutional contexts. A particular interest is how decision-making develops across the life span, including individual differences and the conditions under which people can pursue their goals effectively.
CEREB brings together researchers at different stages of their careers in a collaborative and internationally connected environment — with a shared commitment to rigorous methods and theoretically grounded empirical research.
