General

Graduate centres serve the structured supervision and graduate service of doctoral candidates and postdocs along a research program. Predocs who are preparing a doctoral project can also be integrated into graduate centres. Postdocs are seen as peers and mentors of the doctoral candidates.

The study and supervision program is supported by a research concept and complemented by a qualification concept for the early-stage researchers, which corresponds to the framework of the Erfurt Doctoral and Postdoctoral Programme (EPPP). Accordingly, graduate centres must be certified and regularly re-certified.

There are several graduate centres at the University of Erfurt, the Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences is represented in the Center for Empirical Research in Economics and Behavioral Sciences (CEREB) as well as in the Center for Political Practices and Orders (C2PO) .
