Summer School at the Gotha Research Library, led by Dr Feras Krimsti

The Summer School marks the continuation in Germany of the collaboration that began last year in Nizwa with an exhibition and a workshop. Alongside lecturers and students from Nizwa, there is also a participant from Abu Dhabi, who is taking part at the invitation of the Goethe-Institut for the Gulf region. In Gotha, the guests will receive an introduction to working with Arabic manuscripts. Experts from other universities in Germany (including Leipzig and Hamburg) have also been invited to teach on various modules. The event will be conducted entirely in Arabic. The summer school will be accompanied by evening lectures and a cultural programme featuring guided tours of Gotha.
