Climate Control for Historical Manuscripts and Prints

Due to the seasonally low temperatures in the stacks of the Gotha Research Library of the University of Erfurt, it is currently necessary for conservation reasons to air-condition ordered titles before use.

Against this background, from Monday, 20 November, until further notice, manuscripts and prints published before 1850 will be available for several hours, i.e:

  • order before 9 a.m.: use possible from 3.30 p.m.
  • order after 9 a.m.: can be used the following day
