The upcoming regional colloquy of American Studies in central Germany (Mitteldeutschland) is scheduled to take place at the University of Erfurt on 12 April 2024. We are looking forward to discussing exciting new research projects and state-of-the-art scholarship with our colleagues and PhD students from the Universities of Chemnitz, Dresden, Halle-Wittenberg, Jena, and Leipzig.
This year's program includes project presentations on New Media Horror, Queer-Feminist Manifestos, The Burlesque, Critical Plant Theory, The Anti-War Protest Movement, Water and Body Horror.
