Panel discussion as part of the Cologne Forum for Journalism Criticism on the topic of "Media in polarised times: How can understanding and communication succeed?". Moderator Sina Fröhndrich will be joined by communication scientist Kai Hafez (University of Erfurt), WELT Middle East correspondent Christine Kensche, Nazih Musharbah from the German-Palestinian Society and Deborah Schnabel, Director of the Anne Frank Educational Centre.

Two discussion rounds will be organised and broadcast. The discussion with Kai Hafez on the topic "Between criticism, polemics and agitation: How do we talk about the Middle East?" is the second and starts at 3.40 pm.
