University of Erfurt Once Again Hosts CORRECTIV.Lokal Conference

The University of Erfurt is once again hosting around 300 media professionals from all over Germany who are meeting in the Thuringian state capital from 26 to 28 April for the CORRECTIV.Lokal Conference 2024. They will all come together to discuss local journalism in panel discussions and workshops and to make new contacts.

More than 30 sessions are planned, focussing on different topics:

  • Track 1 – Investigation and Research
  • Track 2 – Climate, Environment
  • Nature Track 3 – Hands On
  • Track 4 – The Future of Local Journalism
  • Track 5 – Super Election Year 2024

In addition to the main programme on the university campus, there will be further events at various locations in the historic city centre.

In addition to the university, Funke Medien Thüringen – Thüringer Allgemeine, the Thuringian State Media Authority and the "Reporterfabrik" as well as beabee and CORRECTIV.Starthub are participating as cooperation partners. The conference is funded by the Alfred Toepfer Foundation and the federal government's budget for culture and media, among others.
