Study with us

Our curriculum encompasses a comprehensive array of subject areas. Introductory lectures provide a comprehensive overview of Islamic religious and intellectual history, along with a detailed examination of the Muslim religious practices that have evolved from the advent of Islam in the 7th century CE to the present era. In seminars, we undertake a detailed examination of specific topics within the context of Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes. These include the analysis of religious influencers on social media platforms, debates surrounding the use and regulation of images, the examination of musical and artistic expressions, an investigation of the role of clothing in religious practice, an exploration of ritual practices, an engagement with the tenets of Sufism and Islamic philosophy, as well as of legal and regulatory aspects of Islamic law. We conceptualise academic courses as spaces in which the cognitive process is jointly shaped by teachers and students in a committed manner.
