She participates in social activities and always tries to be inclusive. Majlinda also advocates for women's rights and advancement with determination and compassion, and does not shy away from difficult realities in the ever-changing world," including co-authoring the second edition of the Kosovo Women's Network book "1325 Facts & Fables", a collection of stories about the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in Kosovo. "Majlinda has the moral imagination and hope needed to rise above and find ways to overcome obstacles," the jury concluded.

A total of four students were nominated for the DAAD Prize 2023, which is endowed with 1000 euros. The award ceremony took place on 11 October 2023 as part of the "Welcome Lecture" at the Brandt School.

Background DAAD Prize

The DAAD Prize, which has been awarded for more than ten years, is intended to help put a face to the many international students at German universities and to link this with stories. This makes it clear that every single international student takes a piece of Germany back home with them and leaves something of themselves in Germany – an enrichment for both sides.

The students who have received such an award through their respective host university stand for their fellow students from all over the world. They are future partners for Germany in business, politics and science.
