Keynote speech: The German economy at a turning point: Does the Federal Government have the right answers?

How is the Federal Government responding to these challenges? What is needed to underpin social cohesion and economic stability? And what form should a strong European investment and industrial policy take to ensure Germany’s long-term viability?

Prof. Dr Sebastian Dullien, Director of the Institute for Macroeconomics and Economic Research (IMK) at the Hans Böckler Foundation and Professor of General Economics, with a particular focus on international economics, at HTW Berlin, will discuss in his lecture as part of the ‘Perspectives on Contemporary Global Order’ academic forum what economic policy responses Germany and Europe now need.

The event will take place in the Town Hall Ballroom. Members of the public are warmly invited to attend. No registration is required.

The Knowledge Forum is a joint event organised by the ‘Deglobalisation and Global Decoupling’ (DeGlobE) doctoral programme and the Centre for Geoeconomics (EFGeo) at the University of Erfurt.
