The class of 2028 has arrived at the Brandt School

Last week, 50 students from 30 countries took part in Orientation Week at the University of Erfurt, marking the start of a new academic year in the Master of Public Policy program.

On October 5, the Brandt School was pleased to welcome its new cohort. A new academic year means new faces, new perspectives, and a new group of students beginning their journey in Erfurt.

During Orientation Week, students had the opportunity to explore the campus, get to know each other, and meet their lecturers for the first time. They also received an introduction to the different specializations offered within the program. Sessions on academic and student life offered practical tips and useful information to help them navigate their studies.

The week also included a guided tour of Erfurt, where students learned more about the city’s history and culture. They also met with senior students and heard firsthand about their experiences at the Brandt School and living in Erfurt. The week ended with some more informal activities, including a visit to Erfurt’s Oktoberfest and a group hike in the Steigerwald.

But how international is international?

Our Class of 2028 brings together students from 30 countries. When grouped by world region, this cohort is a miniature reflection of the world’s population.

We are happy to welcome our new students to the Brandt School, and wish them a successful academic year.
