Biography

  • Ph.D. Candidate in Law at São Paulo University and Erfurt University (double degree). Interested in Constitutional Theory, Comparative Constitutional Law, and Civil-Military relationship. He is currently writing his Ph.D. thesis on if and how the Brazilian Constitution is read inside the Brazilian Military Academy.
  • LL.M at Harvard Law School (2019), M.Sc. in Political Science at the Rio de Janeiro State University's Institute for Social and Political Studies (2017), LL.B. at Getulio Vargas Foundation Law School at Rio de Janeiro (2014) with a student exchange at Coimbra University (2013).
  • Works as a Guest Researcher at the Varieties of Constitutionalism Project (Erfurt University, Humboldt University, and São Paulo University) and has been a research assistant at several other institutions, including at Harvard University as one of the research assistants for Professor Lawrence Lessig in the book "They Don't Represent Us (2019)." He also worked as an Anti-Corruption Lawyer at Barros Pimentel Advogados in São Paulo, Brazil (2019-2021).
  • Has received scholarships from Harvard University, Brazilian Education Ministry (CAPES), Santander Bank, CDSS-DAAD, and Getulio Vargas Foundation.
  • Participated in the 6th GESIS Summer School in Survey Methodology (Cologne, 2017) and the BRICS Summer School (Shanghai, 2014).
