As part of the seminar ‘Nature-based Interventions in Student Health Management’ on the Master’s programme in Health Communication, students created the Erfurt Green Health Campus audio guide. The project invites listeners to discover the University of Erfurt campus from a new perspective and explore how green spaces can contribute to health and well-being.
Under the supervision of Dr. med. Kristin Köhler and in collaboration with the University's Health Management team, Anastasia Helmschrot, Alida Zahoransky, Josepha Gladitz and Leonie Denner developed the Erfurt Green Health Campus Meditation Trail, which features five short audio stops at selected green spaces across the campus. Reflecting on the project, the students explain:
Our aim was to put what we’ve learnt about health communication into practice. We wanted to address issues that are part of our everyday lives as students, such as stress management and mental health – ideally in the very place where we spend much of our time: at university.
The new audio guide will be presented to the public for the first time during a short guided tour as part of this year’s Mental Health Days.
When: Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 11 am
Meeting point: Main entrance to the Administration Building (C02)
Everyone interested is warmly invited to join the tour, discover the audio guide, and explore the campus in a new way.
