The Brandt School Social Innovation Lab, led by the Aletta Haniel Chair for Public Policy and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Heike Grimm, provides a safe and collaborative environment for students to showcase and refine their social business ideas. Designed for public policy students trained in social entrepreneurship, the lab serves as a platform where social business proposals are presented to an audience of experts, donors, mentors, and peers. Participants gain constructive feedback, mentorship, and access to valuable networks, enabling them to further develop their projects and explore funding opportunities. As an integral part of the Brandt School's social entrepreneurial ecosystem, the lab empowers student social entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions and drive meaningful social impact.
The project teams who present during this pitching session become eligible for the Engagementpreis-Stiftung's Commitment Award 2025 and the Melton Foundation's Global Solvers Accelerator & Co-Lab.
