Dialogue on global issues and local connections: Rotary Club Erfurt-Gloriosa visits the Brandt School

On June 25, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Rotary Club Erfurt-Gloriosa to the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy.

In an open exchange, club members engaged with Prof. Dr. Andreas C. Goldthau, Managing Director Lena Kiesewetter, and international students on pressing global challenges — including geopolitical shifts, strategic resource dependencies, and managing global transformation.

Encounters like these are essential to us: They create space for dialogue between academia, students, and local civil society — and help strengthen a shared understanding of how closely local realities are connected to global developments.

We thank the Rotary Club for their visit and look forward to future formats that bring perspectives together.
