Printing

Registrierung zum Drucken, PC in der UB Erfurt

For printing jobs from our terminals members of Erfurt University (staff and students) need to register their thoska/copy card once at the respective terminal in the entrance hall of the library. After registration printing jobs can be sent and viewed at any time via the campus-wide Qpilot portal.

IMPORTANT: Thoskas/copy cards have to be registered first before printing jobs are available at one of the MFDs.

Other users, including owners of thoskas from other universities, can only print via USB-Stick (pdf, jpg, tiff, xps). Sending printing jobs from our open terminals is not possible.

Multicolour prints must be marked on the respective application/programme before sending the printing job. Prints can be picked up at the MFD labelled multicolour.

Mobile printing

Interface des Programms MobilePrint

Driverless printing from mobile devices such as laptops or smartphones ("mobilePrint") is possible by storing the desired Office or PDF documents on the campus-wide Qpilot portal and sending them as printing jobs.

Instructions:

  • Log in at qpilot.uni-erfurt.de. Select "mobilePrint".
  • Follow the instructions on the screen and upload the desired file.
  • You can then pick up your printing job at any multifunctional device in the university.

Scanning

Single pages or articles from books and journals can be scanned and saved on the devices.

Scan formats: pdf, tiff, jpg

b/w or multicolour

At the MFD there are two ways for scanning:

  • Q-Pilot Scan : for students and staff of Erfurt University, your scan is automatically uploaded to the campus-wide portal, access by your login data.
  • USB drive function : for all library users, the scanned pages are saved on your own USB stick  (pdf, jpg, tiff, xps)

For reasons of book-friendly scanning we kindly ask you to use our overhead scanners next to the textbook collection, on the 1st floor, in the photocopying room and in our special reading room.

Please bring your own USB stick to save your scans.

Delivery Service

If required you can use our  Scanning service, Copy service or reproduction service for old book-stocks.
