Gifts

The library receives private gifts of books from the city of Erfurt and the region. We are pleased the library's mission as an educational institution and as a cultural memory is confirmed and supported.

We have to evaluate donated media for their value and usefulness to the library. We only accept gifts in good condition, that meet our collection mission, and complement our holdings. We cannot accept duplicate or outdated editions of reference works or existing professional literature due to limited space.

We recommend you to contact us in advance if you would like to donate books to us. A donation receipt can be issued for the volumes received. If we do not accept the books, we may be able to give you advice on the further treatment of the gift.
