We are happy to help you with advice and support. Ask us at the information desks, by telephone, write us an e-mailor use the electronic forms for special requests. 

For general information about the library, we recommend that you take part in a guided tour of the library, or join us on our "Virtual Tour".

At all information desks you can get information and advice on all questions concerning the use of the library, especially on the following topics:

  • the library and its services
  • use of PC workstations and technology
  • search portal Discovery and online catalogue OPAC
  • interlibrary loan
  • use of electronic journals and e-books
  • literature research in catalogues, databases and bibliographies
  • verification and completion of bibliographic data

Desk 1 (Entrance Hall)

The information desk in the entrance hall of the library is your first point of contact for all questions concerning library use, literature research and information searches. If necessary, you will be directed to other areas of the library.

 

Information desk 2 (2nd floor)

At the reading room information desk on the 2nd floor you get general information about the library and its holdings as well as assistance in using personal lockers and carrels, group study rooms and microform equipment. Media not for loan ordered from the closed stacks or via interlibrary loan can also be collected here.

 

Special Reading Room

At the information desk in the special reading room at Erfurt University Library, specialist staff will support you in your research for sources and research literature in context with manuscripts, incunabula and old prints.
