Step-by-step instruction

  1. You have changed your initial password of your user account (you can change it via the user portal )!
  2. Connect your device to the Wi-Fi "gast-ue" (when logging in, go to "Cancel" and select "Use without Internet"!)
  3. Open Safari and go to the page https://cat.eduroam.org/?idp=5059
  4. This page automatically detects your operating system and offers you a file to download. Download this file.
  5. When you are asked to load configuration profile, confirm with allow
  6. Then go to Settings -> General -> VPN and Device Management -> eduroam
  7. Install the profile
  8. Go to the Wi-Fi settings
  9. Before you can connect, please go to the small blue i-symbol next to "eduroam" and deactivate "Private Address" (this feature may cause connection problems)
  10. After the eduroam profile has been successfully installed, please try to connect to eduroam and enter your login data of your user account

You should now be successfully connected.

The question about your phone code refers to the start code of your Apple device. You will find this code in the documentation of your purchased device.

Please ensure that you are using a supported device:

  • iPhone 6s or later
  • iPad Pro or later
  • iPad Air (3. generation) or later
  • iPad (5. generation) or later

Notice: use of eduroam after December 2021

Due to the deactivation of TLS 1.0/1.1 (deprecated since March 2021) only iOS 11 or later and iPadOS 13.1 or later are capabel to connect to eduroam.
