Step-by-step instruction

During the setup, the access data of your university account (the same as for E.L.V.I.S., moodle) are required, not those of the applicant account! Please make sure that you have already changed your initial password for your university account. If this is not the case, you must change the password in advance via the URMZ user portal

You use a business device of the University of Erfurt?
If you are using a centrally administered device from the University of Erfurt, you can ignore steps 2-6. The easyroam app is already installed in advance (If necessary, your device must still be updated via ZENworks)! Further information on working via Wi-Fi (eduroam) can be found here.

1. Ensure that there is an internet connection (If applicable, the Wi-Fi gast-ue can be used)
   1. The Wi-Fi eduroam cannot be used for the initial setup
2. (If available) delete existing eduroam network
   1. under Settings → Network and Internet → Wi-Fi → Manage Known Networks → eduroam → Do not save
3. Open a browser, visit the website easyroam.de and click on login
4. Search and select University of Erfurt
5. Register with the university account
6. Download and install installer/App for Windows (no administration rights required)
7. Launch easyroam App
8. Click on login
9. Search and select University of Erfurt
10. Register with the university account
11. Click on new profile
12. As soon as the profile is displayed as valid, a connection to eduroam should be established
    1.   if necessary, go to the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Wi-Fi eduroam
    2.   You may receive a message that the eduroam Wi-Fi requires action. Please check the certificate (show certificate details). Here must be exhibited for "easyroam.eduroam.de". Then click on Connect
13. You should now be successfully connected

Technically, the setup process must be repeated every 7 months! Max. 8 devices can be configured. Currently, there is no automatic reminder before the certificate/profile expires. You can find the expiration date in the corresponding profile, in the easyroam app. Please set up a reminder in your personal calendar!
