Chaniga Chaipan studied English & American Literature (Literary Studies) at the University of Erfurt, where she completed her Master degree in 2010 with a thesis on 20th century fairy tales. Extending her interest in women’s writing & feminism, her PhD thesis seeks to explore the mutually constitutive relation between ‘magic’ and ‘realism’ in Angela Carter’s short(er) prose.
