New "Equal Opportunities Service Centre at Thuringian Universities"

The new "Service Centre for Equal Opportunities at Thuringian Universities" will begin its work on 1 January 2026. This service centre will merge the existing Thuringian Equality Competence Network (TKG) and the Diversity Network at Thuringian Universities (Div-NW). The aim is to further promote networking and cooperation between equality and diversity officers and other stakeholders in this area at Thuringian universities in the future.

The aim is to coordinate cross-university projects in the areas of equality and diversity and to provide the best possible support to those responsible in fulfilling their statutory duties. In addition, the Thuringian Coordination Centre for Natural Sciences (ThüKo NWT) will be integrated into the service centre in future. The Equal Opportunities Service Centre is led by a management team consisting of Andrea Krieg (Head of the Equal Opportunities, Diversity and Health Department, Ilmenau University of Technology), Professor Bärbel Kracke (Vice President for University Community and Engagement, Friedrich Schiller University Jena) and Barbara Michel (Head of the Office of the Thuringian Conference of State Presidents).
