Competence-oriented personnel development

Personnel development in academia and in administration has become increasingly important for universities over the last decade. Therefore, competence-orientated personnel development is one of the strategic fields of action to which the University of Erfurt is increasingly devoting itself and has established and continues to expand various offers and programs for its members (of staff).

In its personel development measures the university follows the framework guideline ‘PERMANENT - Personnel Management for Thuringia’ (only available in German).

Accordingly, the approach to personnel development at the University of Erfurt shares fields of action and instruments equally for its academic and administrative staff, such as active recruitment, a qualitatively assured, professional and goal-oriented selection of personnel, the flexibilisation of working conditions and, last but not least, a strong commitment to respectful communication, team-oriented cooperation and leadership skills

Personnel development for academics and administrative staff differs in terms of the focus of the fields of action and the design of measures and programs. For this reason, you will find details on the respective information on programs and offers on two different subpages.
