From the late 1920s onwards, Martin Heidegger engaged intensively with Schelling’s Philosophy. This volume traces his complex engagement with this thinker and demonstrates Schelling’s decisive influence on Heidegger’s intellectual development. Leading experts from Germany, Spain, Italy, Latin America, Japan and Australia, amongst others, focus in particular on the lectures Heidegger delivered on Schelling’s *On the Essence of Human Freedom*. The studies on Heidegger’s readings of Schelling are complemented by a second focus dedicated to his ‘Natorp Report’.
