This workshop is designed for participants with initial experience using GenAI who want to work more intentionally on their research workflow. Instead of presenting a fixed list of tools, we focus on analysing one’s own research process to identify where GenAI tools can provide meaningful support – and which requirements a tool needs to meet in an academic context.
Together, we walk through typical steps in everyday research (literature search, text work, translation, analysis) and examine how digital and AI-based tools can be integrated in a useful way. Participants will get to know different tools, but more importantly: they will learn how to research, evaluate, and integrate tools independently, without being overwhelmed by the rapidly changing tool landscape (Image tools will not be considered).
As successful GenAI practice thrives on hands-on experimentation, a key part of the workshop is the exchange of ideas: the experiences participants have already gained with GenAI tools are actively shared and put to use. In this way, the whole group can benefit from the existing knowledge and previous experiences of the individual participants.
