About the exhibition
“Since its formation a year ago, the group has been working collaboratively and subsequently presenting the works created individually as a collective. With ‘21 Cent’, the collective is now making its eponymous ‘IST’ the subject of the exhibition itself: the title refers, on the one hand, to the century in which the members were born and, at the same time, is intended as an assessment of a generation’s attitude to life, as well as a reflection on thinking, feeling and acting in the here and now.
With this exhibition, the IST collective – as a young, as yet unestablished group of artists – is claiming a space within a world of arts and culture characterised by elitist structures and economic pressure. Through workshops, art education programmes and collaborations with other young cultural practitioners, the collective aims to open up this space, share it and shape it together with others.” (Source: City of Erfurt)
The exhibition is accompanied by a varied programme. Further information can be found on the City of Erfurt’s website or on the collective’s Instagram channel. The exhibition is open every Wednesday to Sunday, 2 pm to 6 pm (times may vary depending on events listed in the programme).
