Discussion between Federal Environment Minister Carsten Schneider and Professor Cornelia Betsch

Climate protection is one of the greatest political challenges of our time - not only in Germany, but worldwide. Environmental activists and scientists are warning of devastating effects and calling on politicians to take action. On the other hand, many people are resisting the changes and restrictions that come with it. How can this dilemma be resolved? Can we manage to tackle the challenge of climate protection democratically? And what approach would make sense?

The organisers of the Weimarer Republik e.V. association will be discussing the tension between democracy and climate protection and all related questions with Carsten Schneider, Federal Minister for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, and Professor Dr Cornelia Betsch, Director of the Institute for Planetary Health Behaviour and holder of the Professorship for Health Communication at the University of Erfurt. We cordially invite you to join the discussion.

The event is open to the public. Admission is free. Admission from 30 minutes before the start of the event. Access via Zeughofgasse. Please note that registration for this event is required at veranstaltung@hdwr.de is mandatory.

The event will be moderated by Sebastian Haak, freelance journalist.
