Event with Robert Kötter for academic managers as part of the academic personnel and skills development programme

About the event

In this one-day face-to-face workshop, professors receive practical media training that optimally prepares them for interviews, statements and public appearances. Participants practise precise key messages, confident body language and professional handling of critical questions. With individual exercises and video feedback, they develop a clear, authentic presence in traditional and digital media.

Goals:

  • Gain confidence in dealing with journalists and media enquiries
  • Formulate concise key messages for various formats
  • Respond confidently to critical or unexpected questions
  • Use body language and voice in a targeted manner for a professional effect
  • Reflect on and optimise media appearances using video feedback

Robert Kötter has been offering media and camera training for scientists as a coach and consultant for many years. He has worked with professors, deans and other experts at RWTH, FU Berlin, Fraunhofer and ESA, among others. He draws on his experience as a frequent interview guest as well as his media expertise as a trained actor and trainer.
