Critical theory has always been shaped by a productive dialogue between philosophical reflection and empirical social research. This international roundtable brings together scholars to discuss the future of social-scientific approaches within critical theory, focusing on conceptual foundations, methodologies, and contemporary challenges.
The roundtable addresses questions of social ontology, normativity, critique, disciplinary perspectives, and urgent societal transformations. Its aim is to strengthen transdisciplinary cooperation and explore new directions for a renewed critical social theory.
