Autumn conference of the German Ethics Council: Knowledge and Power

"How do scientists understand their role in politics and society, and how are scientific findings perceived?" - These and other questions will be discussed at this year's autumn conference of the German Ethics Council with the theme "Knowledge and Power - Science in Politics and Society" on October 15, 2025 in Heidelberg. The central question will be what role science plays in democratic negotiation processes and the importance of scientific policy advice.

Prof. Dr. Cornelia Betsch, Director of the IPB, has co-organised the conference and will also host a discussion on the question of how researchers and science reach the public.
