Dr Antje Dallmann is the new Head of the International Office

The International Office of the University of Erfurt has a new head. After Manuela Linde retired at the end of April after 33 years at the University of Erfurt and previously at the University of Education, Dr Antje Dallmann moved into the corner office on the ground floor of the administration building on campus on 16 September and now leads the five-member International Office team. We met her for our campus blog "I like my university...".

Dr Antje Dallmann

"I am attracted by the opportunity to make a concrete contribution to international educational cooperation and the strategic internationalisation of the University of Erfurt through my work," says Antje Dallmann about her motivation for applying for the management position. "The University's cultural and social science orientation, its clear profile and its commitment to a cosmopolitan, academically diverse university landscape are convincing strengths for me, which open up many opportunities to successfully expand existing collaborations, establish new partnerships and actively shape international networks. The management of the International Office offers the opportunity to support these processes both operationally and conceptually and thus contribute to the international visibility and attractiveness of the university." The fact that she already knew Erfurt was certainly another plus point: "I have always found the city to be very charming and inviting – the historic old town has a very special aura. I find it particularly exciting how history and the present come together here."
