ICCA conference (ICCA14)

The event is named after the English mathematician and philosopher William Kingdon Clifford (1845–1879), who is best known for his geometric algebras, which are now better known in Mathematics as Clifford algebras and were named in his honour. However, he also made significant contributions to other areas of Mathematics, particularly geometry.

The conference in Erfurt will focus on various topics relating to Clifford algebras and their applications:

• mathematical physics,
• non-commutative geometry,
• differential geometry,
• Clifford analysis,
• robotics,
• signal processing,
• geometric algebra,
• Applications of Clifford structures in machine learning/AI and image processing,
• harmonic analysis,
• discrete structures,
• octonions
• and Cayley–Dickson algebras.

As part of the event, the W.K. Clifford Prize for early-stage researchers, worth 1,000 euros, will once again be awarded. It recognises outstanding achievements by young researchers in the field of theoretical and applied Clifford algebras, as well as their analysis and geometry. Furthermore, the award is intended to promote high-quality research and thereby enhance the standing of the Clifford research community within Mathematics, physics and the applied sciences.
