A webinar on moral discernment, held in June, presented a new study document approved by the World Council of Churches Faith and Order Commission earlier this year.
The study document “Churches and Moral Discernment: Facilitating Dialogue to Build Koinonia,” harvests the fruits of the study process which began in 2015.

“The question of ethical problems is a major challenge to the churches, both within churches and between churches.” said Prof. Dr Myriam Wijlens, who teaches Canon Law at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of the University of Erfurt (Germany), and moderated the discussion.

The study dokument "Churches and Moral Discernment: Facilitating Dialogue to Build Koinonia" was the third in the series "Churches and Moral Discernment". Read more here.

Information on the first two publications can be found here. Webinars were also held about the two previous documents: Webinar 1 "Moral discernment - What can we learn from other traditions?" and Webinar 2 "Change in moral teaching - Exploring continuity and discontinuity."
