Does Islam belong to Germany? This question is repeatedly discussed in public in a controversial and politically charged way. The lecture turns the perspective around: The Islamic theologian Serdar Kurnaz asks about the identity that Muslims have formed in Germany. To what extent does this identity see itself as part of German society? Is there even such a thing as a German Islam? These and other questions will be discussed after the lecture.
