New reservation system for workstations in the University Library

Erfurt University Library has once again extended its opening hours in the winter semester and is now open to users on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm. However, due to corona-related distance and hygiene regulations, the number of people wishing to work in the library at the same time must remain limited.

A reservation system for the workplaces is to avoid unnecessary waiting times from 30 November onwards. Employees and students of the University of Erfurt will then be able to book one of the 200 designated workstations in the library in advance (electronically) using thoska and login. A workstation can be reserved for a maximum of four hours in advance, extensions are possible, as are changes and cancellations of bookings. Workstations with and without terminal are available.

Gabor Kuhles, director of the library: "In view of the noticeable increase in the number of visitors in recent weeks, we hope that this will help us to counteract foreseeable 'peaks' and 'traffic jams', and that the distribution of workstations will be more balanced for everyone".
