Lecture series: "Turning points – turning times?"

"Turning points – turning times? German foreign policy after the end of global political certainties" are in focus on Monday, 14 July, in the third and final event of the public lecture series on "The future of the Western world order", which the University of Erfurt, the Thuringian State Parliament and the Funke Media Group are jointly organising in the summer semester 2025. The lecture starts at 6.15 pm in the plenary hall of the Thuringian State Parliament.

This year's speaker is Professor Tobias Bunde, Professor of International Security at the Hertie School, Director of Research and Policy at the Munich Security Conference and member of the Board of the Munich Security Conference Foundation.

Over the past decade, many of the global political certainties of German foreign policy have vanished into thin air. What can we still rely on today? What do our neighbours and partners expect from Germany in this new situation? And what can and must we expect of ourselves so that our country can meet the new challenges? These questions will be the focus of this evening.

Admission to this event is from 6 pm. Please register at www.thueringer-allgemeine.de/ringvorlesung.
