Sophia Hoffmann and Michael Riegner receive W3 professorships

Sophia Hoffmann and Michael Riegner from the Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences received their certificates of appointment from Vice President Andre Brodocz on 24 September 2025 and are now W3 Professor and W3 Professor respectively as of 1 October. Both have been working at the Faculty since 1 October 2021, initially as Junior Professor of International Politics and Conflict Research and Junior Professor of International Administrative Law and Public International Law respectively, and have accepted the appointment to W3, which was granted to them after the respective interim and final evaluations. We are delighted to have them both in our ranks.
